From the Schmittenhöhe, you have a unique view of more than 30 mountains with a height not less than 3000m – amongst them the Großglockner, Kitzsteinhorn and the Großvenediger. A view enjoyed even the by Empress Elisabeth. The guest service at the Schmittenhöhe mountain station offers an interesting and free guide every hour from 11am to 2pm. Magnificent viewing places along the elevated promenade and numerous viewing terraces make a perfect mountain experience – and all this completely barrier free with the Schmittenbahn.
