The Großglockner High Alpine Road leads through one of the most splendid natural landscapes of the world, the Upper Tauern National Park. Meadows, forests, alp pastures, rocks and ice – and at the end you are standing in front of Austria’s highest mountain, the Großglockner (3798m), high above the Pasterze, the longest glacier of the eastern Alps.
